COMEWhat a COME APK modified time can tell you
A saved file timestamp can help locate a download, but it is not a dependable COME release date. Copying or downloading a file can change its local time metadata.
Use time as a location clue
Match the approximate transfer time to the browser record and filename. This can distinguish two attempts. Keep the date labelled as saved or modified rather than published unless the source actually provides a publication date.
Use release identifiers for updates
Compare the installed version with the offered version. Do not assume a later file timestamp proves newer software, and do not erase an earlier working package solely because another copy has a newer local date.
A practical example
The same source package is downloaded on Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday is the newer save time, but both files can represent the same release. The timestamp alone cannot tell you what changed in the software.
Keep the surrounding steps clear
Begin an update decision with the version currently installed and the release actually offered. A webpage's publication date, the file's save time and an app version answer different questions. Keep their labels when comparing them. Match product identity before treating a higher-looking number as a suitable replacement.
Preserve access to the existing account before changing a working installation. Do not uninstall merely to see whether a package is newer. App storage, browser downloads and service-side account records are different: removing one can have consequences without fixing another.
Android's installer may report a conflict, an incompatible release or another specific error. Read and retain that message. When the reason remains unclear, stop replacing files and use the recognised app help route or the device maker's relevant instructions. A repeated download is useful only when there is evidence that the previous transfer failed.
What a completed answer looks like
The file is located using its time context, while release order is judged from actual version information.
